Hello, and Welcome to Go Lucky Dachshunds!

We are Kirk and Kelly Herrod, living in Davis, Oklahoma, in the Heart of the Arbuckle Mountains. We are a small show kennel and raise only a few select litters each year for our future in confirmation and temperament. The Dachshund is measured against a breed standard as all purebred dogs are. Breed standards are written descriptions of what the ideal specimens should look like. The Dachshund breed standard used in the United States is wriiten and approved by the Dachshund Club of America. From time to time, this standard may be revised. No dog wil be the absolute "perfect" dachshund because breeders and judges interpretations of the standard vary. As show breeders we strive to come as close to our interpretation as possible. We uphold AKC's position on spaying/neutering all puppies that leave our homes as companions. Only show potential puppies leave with full registration unless other arrangements have been made. Thank you for understanding.
